How much do children know about the Second World War?
Only just over two in five secondary school children know the Battle of Britain was fought in the air, and only one third know the Second World War began in 1939, according to a new survey published by Lord Ashcroft. The survey was commissioned to mark the unveiling of the Bomber Command Memorial, which Lord Ashcroft is supporting.
