Michael Ashcroft has been a successful entrepreneur for nearly forty years.
His business career began when he was in his late twenties. In 1977 he became Chairman of The Hawley Group and within less than a decade transformed it from near collapse into the UK’s leading business service company employing over 100,000 people. Following a US merger in 1988, Hawley was re-branded ADT. In 1997, he negotiated the sale of ADT to Tyco International for more than $6.7 billion (£3.7 billion).
He is the Chairman (and major shareholder) of BB Holdings, a financial services company operating in Belize, Turks and Caicos Islands and the Caribbean.
Other business interests include significant investments in the facilities, security and staff services company Carlisle Group; Mavinwood plc, which specialises in services support; Watford FC, a UK Championship football club.
Michael Ashcroft is also seeking new investment opportunities with entrepreneurs who have good strategic plans and plenty of drive and enthusiasm.
